This book while written over 16 years ago remains a MUST read if you are considering investing. To have any chance and to do it successfully remains in your abilty to take key principles from this book and use them. Probably some luck as well!

If you're looking for a trading book to start, this is one of the best book I've read so far. For a foreigner like me, the language is so easy to digest. Also for those whose trying to improve their trading skill outside the technical analysis this book will help you a lot with the way of thinking as a professional trader.
I really enjoyed Elder's first book, Trading for A Living, so I decided to follow up with this one. If you haven't read Trading for A Living, I'd suggest reading that one first, then moving on to this one. He does repeat some information in this one from the first book but it is a good summary. This book is great for someone wanting to learn to trade - it gives you the technical know - how, the discipline and the structure of a day to follow as a guideline to your own personalized style. You know what they say, though: you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. If you read this, take the time to go through the workbook as well and really apply it to your own trading. Then I'm sure you'd find an improvement in your trading.
Another great book from Alexander Elder. There is nothing to dislike about it. Full of useful information for ALL traders. Long term investors will learn alot from this book as well as day traders and short term traders. Some of this info is covered in Trading for a Living. There is plenty of new and updated info to warrant buying this book if you are serious about trading.
