    ARB-704 a great way to protect your transceiver

    Although modern transceivers (mostly) have a teeny relay to effect a contact closure to key a linear amplifier, it’s risky using a direct connection. A better idea is an isolated connection like the ARB-704. Not necessarily cheap, but it’s good and I have one on every modern transceiver.

    If you have an older amplifier get one of these

    I’m using it between a ic-7600 and a keathkit sb220 If you use a wall wart to power the unit make sure it’s atleast an amp. Happy Hamming! Kf6tru
