The Gigabyte z170x-gaming 3 board is a great board with many features like it being built for SLI and M.2 storage but does have a few limitations, such as if you intend on using a larger liquid cooler in your case and mounting it on top make sure you get a case that is wider to accommodate for the top heatsink on this motherboard, found out I had to mount my cooler fans on the outside as the small heatsink on the board prevented me from mounting them inside facing out, also the bios is pretty standard, not as good looking and harder to find the options when looking for specific settings, you can adjust them in the software provided for windows but if you are like me and prefer to change them in the bios be prepared to be looking around to find what you are looking for and the last thing I would mention about this board is if you are installing a cooler with 2 fans you will haft to hook your cpu pump up to one of the standard 4 pin fan connections and your 2 cooler fans up to the main cpu fan and opt fan as this board does not accommodate for 2 fan coolers, a splitter just causes the fans to rev and make a horrible noise when split onto the opt cpu connection... hope this helps other out in not getting stuck with cirtain things this board offers, other then that it runs fine for what I will be using it for and if you only intend on not overclocking with big liquid cooling radiators....Read full review
