I bought this neck sight unseen. When I got it I thought "WOW! What an awesome value!" It's already drilled for mounting holes in the heel, and in the headstock for machine heads. The only thing you have to do to use it is bolt it on, string it up, and place your string guide, and drill the hole for it. It's already leveled frets, finished nut, decals, and stamped heel give it a complete look, and feel. For a lot less than aftermarket manufacturers offer theirs WITHOUT A FINISH, this neck is an excellent deal! The only thing I don't like about it is the phony-baloney amber coloured finish that they put on it thinking that looks cool, or more vintage - it doesn't. It looks fake, and unappealing. I bought a reissue with the same finish back in 2003. So I stripped it, and refinished it with true nitrocellulose lacquer - not acrylic, with Plasti-kote brand which invented it in 1923! I'm not going to do that with this one as I've gotten used to looking at it now. I just wish that Fender would stop using this colour on their guitar necks! Otherwise I have no real complaints other than the fretboard radius. It's too bad that when Fender came out with these guitars in 1950 that he didn't use a flatter radius so that it wouldn't choke out so easily. This has a nice soft V shape rounding out about the 10th fret that makes this very comfortable to play without fatigue even when I play with my thumb over the side of the neck. It's meaty without being too thick, or thin. I think that this, and the U shaped neck are the best feeling neck shapes that Fender has to offer which is a lot considering that other manufacturers copy Fenders' body designs, and necks! All in all, a great neck for the price with accurate detailing, and shapes for headstock, heel, and overall shape. Other than the colour of the finish this is the ultimate tribute to one of the greatest instruments of all time!Read full review

New look and feel. The 50s v neck adds more base in my reach. I added the era machine heads, hard blocked the trembelo, and changed the face to all black to make her curves that more sexy. I still have to add the headstock string feature to complete the transformation.

I love this neck, so beautiful and you can still smell the lacquer coming off of the neck when you first open it. I can’t wait to put it on my David Gilmour Stratocaster definitely satisfied!

I put tuners on with pre drilled pilot holes, mounted neck again with pilot holes. Strung it up and now I have an old Strat that I like and grew up playing instead of a newer Stret that I don't like so much
