I bought these tuners to upgrade a 70's reissue Fender Stratocaster (MIM). I did have to press the old bushings out and press these in, but there (for me) wasn't any reaming of the headstock of the guitar neck. They mounted easily, and my guitar now stays in tune much better. I wasn't sure I'd like the smaller tuner knobs, but after looking at them again, I've grown to like them. It sure is nice to be able to change a set of strings as quick as I can now, and also have my guitar in tune much longer.

A bit overpriced, but a great direct replacement tuner to replace the Fender style F-tuner without drilling any extra holes in the headstock. They come available in multiple finishes in locking and standard non-locking configuration. The stem is a bit larger than the F-style tuner, but otherwise they maintain that vintage look if that's a concern. A definite upgrade from the Fender style F-tuner that is smooth (19:1 gear ratio) and holds its tune.
