Chunk of durable metal. simple physics but one of the better quality products out there.
Strong build, good quality. Mine is used and the gauge is at 200lbs when not loaded so I just took 200 away from each reading and it matched another methods weight. easy replaceable gauge anyway.

Perfect for my 12,000 pound enclosed trailer
The 2k scale is perfect for my size trailer. I can really dial in the pin weight, a 5k scale would be very hard to dial in and a 1k is too small. It’s a sturdy scale, I accidentally dropped it after the first use and it landed on the dial and it’s no worse for the wear. It does not care for big temperature swings so I’ll usually leave it in the shade outside near the trailer for an hour or so before use.

It does exactly what I needed it to do, weigh the tongue on my 21' Jayco RV. I needed a tongue weight of around 600 lb, but instead I was at 900. Had to rearrange my supplies in the trailer to get it loaded properly. Looks pretty indestructible as well.
