Best Pedals for Recumbents!!
I've tried every combination and types of pedals for my recumbent HP Scorpion Trike. I finally discovered these. Absolutely the best pedals for recumbent triking. Shoes do not slip off the "flat" side even going over bumps and you can still clip-in with the SPD side if you want to. Certainly beats Power Grip straps, toe-straps and other pedals. Most versatile pedals you can get
Typical high quality from Shimano, these pedals are perfect for any bike that you might choose to ride with or without cleated shoes. I have them on my gravel bike, which I would normally ride clipped in, but occasionally I take a more casual ride with my wife around the neighborhood. They spin freely, and hang just right so that you can find the clip-in side without looking. With the included cleats they provide plenty of float, which I prefer. And there's even an extra set of the grub screws in the box (which provide extra grip on the 'flat' side) for when they wear out. The reflectors are removable if you choose to do so. I didn't, they don't look that dorky. The only negative (really a very minor annoyance, easily remedied), is that they come coated in a sticky grease, which I tried to wipe off thoroughly to prevent dirt and sand sticking to them.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I installed these pedals on my flat bar road bike and love them! Great for riding in the city as one side is a platform and the other is a SPD mountain clip in so you are ready for anything.
