Excellent quality for the price
Cant beat the Bahco saw and knife combo! $27 with free shipping cant go wrong! I have seen just the Laplander saw go for over $30 alone. The saw is well built with a button lock to open and close, and aside from a very minor bit of play in the blade, the lock feels quite secure. The handle is slightly waisted and feels great in the hand. Aggressive teeth are sharp and sturdy. I have no doubt it will perform well. What more can i say its a Bahco Laplander! The mora knife is basically a freebee at this price and as such it is very impressive. First thing I noticed after pulling it from the sheath is that this thing is razor sharp. And I mean RAZOR SHARP. Shaved the hair down my arm with zero effort. Usually takes me an hour so of careful honing to grind away the milling marks to get production knives as sharp as I like them but this one came out of the box ready to go. Rubber grip is comfortable and sure, plastic sheath has belt clip that is nice and thick so it wont break as easily as some, and drain hole at the tip. Only complaint about the knife (and this is just me whining) is that the spine has been barely rounded off. I would prefer a crisp 90 degrees for striking a ferro rod, but a few minutes on a stone will fix it. IMHO this is a great deal. Don't hesitate!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Outstanding saw & knife set
I like to fish/camp at the same time and usually will cook a fish or two in aluminum foil before returning home. I've also started getting into prepping and was looking for a good saw. The best feedback I found was on You tube and product reviews here. I had a folding saw from Home Depot which was okay, but not of real good quality...you get what you pay for. I know the knife is made by Mora and I love their knives. As to the saw, cut thru a 3" tree limb in a minute or less. My Home Depot....about 3-4. Glad I bought this set and l giving serious consideration in buying several more just as backups/spares for family members. Tried and true
This is a very good product. If you are looking for a light weight saw and knife that has been used by some of the utmost experienced outdoorsman this is for you. The knife is a mora companion with a stanless steel blade it's the cherry on top. Although it's not made for battoning wood it's full skandy grind is easy to sharpen makes a great back packing and hunting knife. A Quality and Economic "Bushcraft Starter Pack"
A great bundle purchase for either the beginning or experienced hiker, hunter or bushcrafter. Bahco Combo is a good basic quality knife and saw both made with swedish steels The knife is a nicely done Mora style knife with a stainless steel blade very sharp from the factory. I've plenty of experience with their other blades and this one shouldn't disappoint. The folding saw has a push button lock that automatically engages in both the open and closed positions. The latter being great when storing it inside either a regular pack or a emergency get home bag that spends a lot of time bouncing around in a vehicle. I've not put the saw to use but from experience cutting firewood and trimming brush and trees I'd be shocked if it was found wanting in cutting chores suited to it like wood for camp fires or cutting poles for a temporary lean-to shelter.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good quality for the price
I'm an assistant scoutmaster at our local Boy Scout troop and we use these tools to train our back country scouts. Needless to say teenage boys can be pretty hard on equipment, but they seem to hold up pretty well. The saw blade thickness vs length is about right to resist kinks and bends and is a relatively useful cutting tool up to about Ø4" wood. The knife blade is stainless steel Scandi-ground and is good and sharp right out of the package. The knife does not have a full tang and I don't recommend heavy batoning (we use an axe instead), I have taken both items hunting with me and find that they are also quite effective game processing tools. Bahco Laplander saw and Knfe Kit
Been using a Bahco Laplander Saw for years around the house, while fishing and in my bow hunting pack. The thing is stout and just never seems to get dull. Durability Over Speed
Not the FASTEST cutter, but functions extremely well. What this saw may lack in speed it well makes up for in DURABILITY. I've had these fast cutting Japanese saws, which are a much greater cost, fail me. I mean just snap into pieces, shutting down the day. However I have never had a Bahco fail me, even under more extreme situations that crumbled the Japanese saw. Fantastic set for bushcraft and light backcountry work in general.
My favorite small/light backcountry and bushcraft saw. It IS small though, wouldn't expect to cut branches bigger than about 5" diameter. Beats the heck out of batoning or even chopping with an axe or hatchet though. The included knife is a Bahco-branded but typical/excellent Mora Stainless "Companion" but with a slightly upgraded (a tad more grippy) and unique handle. A great bushcraft knife if you like stainless steel. It won't scrape a ferro-rod, but that was easily remedied in 3-4 minutes with a big file across the spine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
