Good kit. Not super detailed but enough so you can make a very nice model depending on your skill. If this kit has a downside I would say it was that some parts were hard to cut cleanly from the plastic tree. Just be careful and make sure you have a file or some sand paper to smooth out the rough ends from the tree. Decals were nice and went on without a problem. The instructions actually had some good tips for putting the model together. I would of liked more detail, but with model kits you get what you pay for so this one had no moving parts like gear or flaps and you get no engine detail. But, still nice to look ta once it is painted up and finished. All in all, a solid 4 out of five.

Not a bad model but I found a few problems with the kit parts moulded to the sprew were a bit thick so be careful cutting them out . The design of the undercarriage is not good and weak and easily broken . No engine or cowling display options. All elevators are fixed and rear elevators have a design flaw which you need to cut to the shape of the tail wings . No pilot and the white tail band was missing in my decal set so I had to compromise. My pics show a near completion model

I bought this as a gift but close examination before I handed it over showed a detailed range of parts showing rivets, panels etc. all finely moulded. It's bigger than most models, hence has more parts that require greater skill and patience. The downside is that the box does not include adhesive, nor could I see a specification list for paint colours. The paint schemes for Spitfires varied according to their role (some had marine service and were painted blue and grey) so a list would have helped. There's a pattern template for the camouflage though, so if you know what you need it should be an easy painting job. All in all, a good kit and a decent size when finished which will look impressive. Delivery by the supplier was good too, well packaged and quick. Highly recommended.

Revell already have a 1/32 Spitfire Mk II, an old model from 60´s wich still on the market. It had even movable landing gear, some feature from Revell for their 1/32 scale planes and some bombers in 1/72. It is very detailed besides his age. Revell just released a new model in 2015 but in the same scale. No movable landing gear any more but with engraved painel lines and good level of details. Excellent value for money.

It is history in miniature and the hours of enjoyment creating an item with meaning is irreplaceable. The product itself is well made with plenty of detail for most and open for even more enhancement for experts. Its instruction and colour manual is concise and clearly understandable. The decals are of good quality and easy to apply. It is well packaged and parts protected by sealed plastic bags within the box. A kit that can be tackled by novices and experts alike

A great model to build with enough detail to satisfy any modeler. Sadly as with a number of Revell kits there is no pilot figure and aftermarket additions can prove more expensive than your original purchase.

There are several inaccuracies and deficiencies. Most can be corrected using aftermarket prices, albeit at some cost. A great shame Revell didn't research this aeroplane more thoroughly. Overall, rather slapdash.

Although i haven't built this kit yet. My 1st thought are that its a very clean kit, with loads of plastic for the money, and not at all shy on the detailing either. all in all it looks great and am very much looking forward to starting it.

Having been a model builder for over fifty years, I think this is a very reasonably priced 1:32 model of the iconic Spitfire. Minimal parts cleanup prior to assembly, but be prepared to use filler when masking external ines where parts meet. Patience and perseverance are vital, but payback is well worthwhile and the more you put into your build, the better the end result.

I enjoyed building this Spitfire for my grandson, and he was delighted with the end result. The reason why I downgraded it 4*, was the lack of a pilot figure. When will Revell realise that an aeroplane needs a pilot.
