I bought this for my son and his partner as a housewarming gift. They love it! He said it's perfect and does everything including steaming veggies. I would recommend it and even thinking of getting one for myself now

After I unpacked it from the box, and trying to familiarize myself with the instructions, I noticed there was a part missing. The part missing was the condensation collector that was supposed to be attached just under the lid hinge. I checked the packing box and the plastic bags in which everything was packed and the part was not there. I subsequently used the cooker and successfully cooked some rice. However because the condensation collector was not attached, water collected in a puddle under the cooker.

The only design flaw is that when you open the lid, the water runs out of the cooker and onto the bench. I have to open it slowly to allow most of the water to drip back in the pot slowly. I prefer a lid that comes off completely. Other than that, it's great. So far anyway.

Was expecting more from a Russell Hobbs branded product but it was like any other. It's simple and it works, just like other mainstream brands and there wasn't a quality feel to it. One bad design aspect was the way the cover wasn't spring-hinged and it will come crashing down if it's not held back all the way. The covers on other rice cookers I've used stay upright until it's been forced to close.
