Great value power supply
I paid £10 delivered for this unit. The postmark was £5.50 hence this supply cost £4.50 "Buy it Now" - According to the listing it had been removed from a new case hence never used so kinda new. The 140mm depth fitted my cube case with some room to spare to the back of the DVD. The IEC power connector fouled the opening on my case but was easily fixed and is a reflection on the design of my case rather than any peculiarities with the PSU. Plenty connectors for my elderly ASUS A8V-VM mobo (24 pin + 4 pin connector), 2 x HDD, 2 x card powered readers, DVD, case fan leaving one or so spare. Equipped with a rocker switch on the next to the power inlet on the back of the supply which is sometimes handy. Pretty quiet in operation and plenty of power for my set up - An absolute bargain. It saved the day
I had the CiT ATX-500CB PSU on an old desktop PC fail. The desktop PC had some software & data on it that I needed. Fault finding the PSU would take time and repair was not guaranteed, the PSU was a discontinued product, and I was not confident in sourcing a 'replacement' PSU with all the correct leads and plugs. Thankfully there was this used and working CiT ATX-500CB PSU on eBay. It was easy to fit and I took several photos of the wiring before removing the old one just to be sure that I plugged everthing back in correctly. With a small extention cable off the old PSU I was able to connect the desktop PC mother board, graphics card, drives, front panel etc. It powered up the desktop PC first time, is as quiet as the old one, and has worked flawlessly ever since.
