Good, but could be Great
Arrived blunt - like ride to town on it BLUNT (1mm thick flat 'edge') so I had to grind it down to start with, and the handle - which is varnished (not a positive in my books) was cut from a piece of timber with splinters missing running down the handle - don't get me wrong, it was smooth - ish, just grooved in a couple of places where a splinter had ripped out prior to finishing. However, once sharpened, wood sanded down, grooves filled with epoxy & oiled, This is a brilliant hatchet. I'm using it to work on green wood contently - on an Aussie Hardwood block (which is VERY hard for those of you that don't know it) and in the 8 hrs of solid use I've probably given it, so far it's held the edge I gave it very well - no touch ups required.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
