Surprisingly Good!
This preamp is surprisingly good quality for the price. I bought this unit because I scored a cheap untested Marrantz turntable and didn't want to spend big dollars on a preamp until I knew it worked ok. I will NOT be replacing this unit. I have had much dearer preamps that had detectable noise at high volume. This unit has none! You do need to connect an Earth wire ( my turntable has one fitted as do most decent players) to eliminate Earth hum, but that is expected. Have only powered the unit on battery so far but with the low current draw I suspect it will last a long time on battery as other reviews have suggested. Buy with confidence! you can pay 4, 5 or more times the price for a "better quality" unit (and I have) and gain nothing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
