Great for recovering data
The Lite-ON DH-16AFSH has great error correction. I use this drive with ddrescue on Linux to recover data from optical discs that are starting to fail. This drive is able to recover more data than most other brands. It is very quiet and vibrates very little when it encounters a bad sector on a disc.
