Great value and quick delivery
The only reason I have given 4* and not 5* is due to it being sharp around bottom from handle. Saying that due to this it is a lot easier to scoop the ice-cream than my previous one. Bit on the small side
This icecream mash potato scoop was on the small side it looked bigger in the photo and it is not as good as my old plastic one that had a trigger which you pushed to drop the ice cream or mash potato onto the plate or bowl. A soup spoon served the purpose in the end. I kept it because I could not find the particular one which I had anywhere. The quality of the steel is quite good.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Sturdy

Cuts through icecream with effort, but hard to grip the handle
My home made icecream is quite hard, with effort this will cut through it, but the handle is hard to grip and slips in my hand. So not a bad Scoop, but will look for another with a better handle with more grip.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Solid Cast ice cream scoop

Lightweight but so robust! Simple scoop, no levers or nooks and crannies to make cleaning difficult, and gives a nicely rounded scoop of ice cream for cones or dishes. We love our ice cream but hated trying to scoop it out using a spoon - now we don't have to. Bent 90° after a single use as ice cream scoop. Not fit for purpose
Everyone laughed, but it wasn't funny. It looked solid enough but the metal is too thin at the neck to withstand chocolate ice cream. Maybe it should be sold solely as a mashed potato scoop. As an ice cream scoop it is not fit for purpose.

Weak but ok for soft ice cream
The scoop is weak where it meets the thinner handle. Its pressed into shape so is inherantly weak. I'd say its good for scooping sorbets or soft ice cream but not hard ice gream which is our choice to eat.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
