Great product. Worth the money, easy to use.

Good product. Allows for access to over the air as well as internet based tv. It has crashed a number of times but for the price I’d buy it again. Easy to use, volume control and s great Bluetooth remote. I’ve used it to turn a large computer monitor into a tv and it worlds very well

Foxtel NOW needs to improve their internet connection

because it keeps telling me I am not connected to the internet. I know there is nothing wrong with the internet. I have a great connection - I can watch netflix & use internet on my laptop at the same time. when I got the message on this box i went immediately to netflix & my laptop & nothing wrong with my internet connection - oh I tried using the ethernet cable that is plugged into my TV for netflix - still the same message. something really wrong with Foxtel NOW product. I cancelled my sub & will try again in 6 months or when I hear they have improved it - as I am not the only one experiencing this fault.

  • Good but not great.

The unit is easy to install and set up. It pretty much works out of the box. The only draw back is the user interface. It’s annoyingly slow at times, it’s clunky and not particularly intuitive. Overall a good product and does the job it is supposed to do without setting a new benchmark.

  • Good but not great

Initially, I was very glad we bought this product. The hardware works as expected. The UI is a bit lacking and the usage is not really intuitive. However, it works and does the job. You just plug it into the HDMI on your TV and you're done. It has a Chromecast function and the ability to install apps from android TV store, which is pretty helpful. If this is what you're looking for, it's great. The Internet is not great in our house, however with that said, Netflix, for example, does a much better job of caching the results and providing a smooth performance. If you have a faster Internet, that'll probably be less of a bother.

  • Good, not great yet.

The Foxtel Now box is good but not great yet. I'm hoping it will be great when they work out some software issues and provide better documentation. I have had a number of random reboots and freezes requiring me to reset the box. I haven't been able to find any detailed documentation to help me do things like turn on CC for a particular show, I have managed to do it via trial and error which is not ideal. I also wish Netflix and SBS had an app available like the ABC does, I know Foxtel does not control that. Otherwise it looks great and is usually easy to use as long as you stick to the basics. I got it for a special price of $60 and its definitely good value at $60.

  • Great Product

I had Foxtel iQ3 a couple of years ago in another house and after moving not being able to have the proper Foxtel box via satellite dish, this box works brilliantly. I have read through other people’s reviews and I have unlimited internet and the box has not played up once. It’s like having the iQ3 again minus being able to record shows and series link. I would recommend to others in apartment building where Foxtel is not available.

  • When they add Netflix it will be 5 Stars

Cheap and easy way to watch Foxtel on non-smart TVs. This is my second unit- put this one in the bedroom. My internet connection isn’t great but I can hotspot 3G or 4G to this box from my phone so that’s cool. Have used it to watch 7Plus etc and the unit would be near perfect if I could use it to watch Netflix. Chromecasting Netflix doesn’t work.

  • Only way to watch Foxtel Now

It's great, lightweight & portable, easy to set up and use. Has added bonuses of being able to watch YouTube, Stan & 7Plus on it. Only bad thing is sometimes it'll have a playback error or disconnect from the Internet even though the net is fine. But majority of the time it works perfectly.

  • Great with shortcomings

The new Foxtel now box is well made, easy to use and produces a great picture, however the glaring absence of Netflix will be a deal breaker for many. Also while viewing the cricket, foxtel repeatedly, and might i say rudely, interrupted my experience by blanking out the screen and asking, "am i still watching". Now this, is the absolute deal breaker Regards Bob

  • Foxtel now box - not ideal for smooth, quality hd or 4k viewing

Hd titles arent always of good quality. Smooth motion is not consistent as frame rate can be reduced sometimes. 4k stan titles wont show, only hd, no netflix yet, which is not convenient. No prime video. I think its worth it to pay an extra 20 a month for iq3 which has more channels per similar packs, motion should have no reduced frame rate , hd should be more hd, hd recording and playback.
