This carburetor functioned properly with absolutely no trouble the first time.
This Kohler Original Equipment 12 853 93-S, 1285393-S, 12-853-93-S Carburetor was the exact fit to one I was replacing. Once installed, it functioned properly immediately with absolutely no trouble. I purchased this Kohler original equipment carburetor because I have had a lot of trouble with generic replacement carburetors claiming to operate exactly like the original manufacturers part. Most of these "knock-offs" items are 75% cheaper than the original one but often do not measure up. The only thing that I was not happy about was the price. This carburetor, with taxes and shipping, was over $150.00. To me, that's quite expensive for a 4 cycle lawn mower engine. I guess you get what you pay for.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
