These Ingersoll-Rand form fit protective boots are very nice. They literally fit like a glove to the point they can be difficult to install on some tools. This boot for the W5132 actually went on easily after a few minutes soak in HOT water. When cooled it fits the tool tightly without any movement or sagging anywhere.
I have multiple Ingersoll-Rand IQv20 Cordless Tools and have them all protected with the specified IR Protective Boot(s). I have all of my v20 batteries also protected by the respective IR Battery Boots. Great way to keep these tools in good condition and protected from the bumps, knocks, and drops that accompany their use. The oil, grease, gas, and other chemicals used in repair shops are not a problem. Everything seems to clean off easily.
My only negative is simply the price. They are expensive. However so are the tools they are designed to protect. So I invested in tool and battery boots to help maintain my investment in the tools. I suppose each user will have to determine if the cost is worth it to them. The quality is there so I think these will last for many years.
