Excellent Universal High Speed DSL modem!
With support for VDSL as well as ADSL, this is a universal DSL modem that should work well on pretty much any DSL service. Sonic Internet here in Northern California now deploys hybrid VDSL/ADSL service, and this is the only retail product that works, saving the Sonic rental fee. Might be troublesome to get set up
Make sure you have your network user name and password handy when you first start this up as if you miss the first chance during the setup, you may need tech support to get it going. Modem works great
Downloaded firmware update and used automatic setup feature. Could not log in to my internet server provider I have had for about 30 years who stated my NEW MODEM was bad (typical to blame the new modem). My login user name and password rejected by service provider who could not understand the problem of not being able to login. Of course the technical problem of not being able to connect to their server morphed into "Did you return the modem we (new server provider who purchased the "old" company) gave you about 30 years ago ?". I got this modem for use with the VDSL Service from my ISP. Its a significant improvement over the crappy overpriced and hobbled modem the ISP tried to sell. Setting up the modem is a breeze thanks to the Genie wizard. It figured out all the necessary settings needed to work with my ISP's network. I am real happy with the performance of this modem.
