Great for kids, don't expect too much range.
These are a great alternative for kids compared to the standard cheap, toy store walkie talkies. Better range, better signal quality, better build quality, and lighter. That said, you won't get anything like the claimed range of 3km. In an urban environment, even 1km seems optimistic.

Easy to setup. KID-Z IS A PLUS. keypad lockout great for young kids not changing channel. Australian compliant. 3 year warranty. ONLY Con is that at 0.5watts, the 3km distant is in theory. We are getting 1.5km line of slight.
