An amazing polymath, but not a completer/finisher!
This book is an account of the full gamut of Leonardo's passions and works. Taking the notebooks as the source, Isaacson delves into this man who was interested in literally everything around him. However he started far more than he ever finished as his enthusiasms flitted from subject to subject and so many of his ideas never came to fulfilment, and his artworks remained unfinished (by him, maybe by others). Despite that, the legacy of Leonardo is amazing, and Mr Isaacson has given us a work of immaculate research and great sympathy for his subject.
