My New Favorite Angle Grinder-Variable Speed Is The Key!
My new favorite, most advanced angle grinder. Variable speed makes this angle grinder both rare and far smarter to use. Several wheels and brushes get close to self destructing when rotating at the normal speeds of nearly all angle grinders. Instead of 11,000 rpm, this Powerbuilt variable speed allows me to dial speed down to 4000 or up to 11,000 if I really need that dangerous speed. The slower rpm's preserve grinding wheels, steel brushes, and especially sanding pads. I am probably going to buy another variable speed angle grinder to keep a steel brush on one, a grinding wheel on another, and a cutting blade on the last. High speed angle grinders will cost much more money in consummables than this variable speed Powerbuilt. Good luck finding another variable speed angle grinder like this at the same price point. Outstanding value!

I bought it for the variable speed. Thought it would be good for power carving. Worked with it for a hour with scotch brite dise. Saw some smoke thought it was wood. Then the body flashed and the tool burnt up. 1.5 hours of use.
