I like true to life movies & this is well worth buying, I wish it would have had english sub-titles as not to miss any of the dialoge .The secret bromance was very cool and the leads acceptance of himself in being able to love both sexes shows he truly knew himself &; was not ashamed. These are the things men don't talk about because of being judged less than, when in reality it opens you up to human love without boundaries.
This is a wonderful film about the boys in a British reformatory school. It is based on the story Borstal Boy by Brendan Behan. It is presumably based on his experiences in a similar situation. The film is well done. The cast is very good. All the production values are well done. It is a poignant story with many ups and downs. Well worth watching.

This film really was a moving film. It's basically Boy meets boy. Boy is homophobic or pretends to be homophobic (but he's actually afraid to be open about who he is). Then falls in love with boy who well don't want to reveal want happens in the end. This film was surely not a disappointment. Worth owning a copy and watching it a few times. I really loved this film! Enjoy with some Irish Bailey's Cream!~~~~~~~
Good story, excellent performances, high quality production values: in all, a movie very much seeing.
