HISTORY MADE GLAMOUROUS
If you are interested in the Renaissance period, and the influence of the Medici family, you will love this. Just don't expect a completely factual account of history, but the embellished storytelling makes it much more interesting..The magnificent clothing of both women and men show the wealth of this family. I wouldn't have expected Dustin Hoffman to be in this film, his accent is a bit off-putting, but Richard Madden is excellent as the son who becomes such a master of money management while carrying on the great name and power of the Medici.

Brilliant dramatisation of the main Medici characters, stays fairly close to actual historical details.

Thoroughly engaging and an entertaining storyline with an excellent whodunnit ending.
I found the story-line engaging even though it's not historically correct. The cast if first class, the costumes sumptuous and the setting is gorgeous.
