OK, some people like to know why they need a specific diet, but I did feel that there was too much complicated scientific stuff and not enough recipes. Beyond that, the diet plan is well laid out for each week with a shopping list. There are recipes with excellent photo's so its not all "light and easy"; you need to put in the effort if you want to succeed. I recommend the ideal behind this diet plan as I have found that increasing protein has left me feeling a lot less hungry and therefore much less likely to binge eat between meals. The science is sound, its just really boring.

This is a very informative and beautifully presented book...glossy paper and wonderful food photography. Lots of information on keeping healthy. However....I found the recipes disappointing. I would need a personal chef! The majority of recipes have long lists of ingredients and not ingredients most people would have in their pantry. Unless you love cooking these recipes are not for a busy home cook. Too complicated and time consuming. The book has pretty pictures and a is a good reference.
