After having my stage 1 clutch installed my 2015 WRX feels like it wants to shoot out of every gear like a rocket. Huge upgrade from the stock clutch set up. I’m really enjoying the new clutch but am having to get use to the sudden take off in gears. Break in period.
I got this for my 2009 wrx and the release bearing started making noise after 1500km!! I was following the break In properly and the clutch was installed properly flywheel was machined also and I was told by Exedy and the seller that the release bearing isn’t the issue even though I took Car to the mechanic to get the TRANSMISSION OUT TWICE and he told me the release bearing is faulty. So at the end of the day I wasted about $700 for the clutch to be faulty and numerous amounts at the mechanic to get it installed properly so I wouldn’t have this issue. the clutch now has about 4k on it and all the release bearing does is make a crazy amount of noise. Wouldn’t purchase another Exedy product again especially since they didn’t help me at all very disappointed didn’t have to send a whole clutch kit a release bearing would’ve been just fine.
