Now I Know
Bought this to measure the sunlight where I wanted to do some front yard landscaping near some old mango trees. First the bad news, the batteries that came with the unit were dead. However, I bought new ones at my nearby dollar store and then put the unit out where I wanted to do my planting. The instructions state you need to let it collect for a full 12 hours so I put it out at 7AM, and collected it just after 7PM. I got my reading and was able to choose the right plants for partial sun, which according to a technical sheet I found for the Suncalc means 4-6 hours of sun. Without the Suncalc I would have guessed there was less sun than that but I don't sit and watch all day to be sure. Cool device.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
