I am very pleased with the TCP Connect system and it's components - LED bulbs, gateways, remote control and the phone/tablet app that controls them. Since the LED bulbs have built-in dimming capability, one bulb can replace special dimmer hardware and the electrician to install them. The App allows you to control the brightness of the bulbs from about 5% to 100% and you can schedule lights to turn on/off/dim/brighten at specific times. You can group lights to function as a single light and still control them individually. I would like to see TCP add (cheaper) non-dimming bulbs for basements and garages, usually I just want lights on or off in these locations and grouping bulbs to act from one "switch" is very helpful. Then again, as prices keep falling it probably doesn't matter they will be cheap enough to use anywhere. Currently, soft white bulbs can be obtained for less the $13, in single quantity. The addition of some general purpose sensors to the product line would be nice to help automate things but it seems TCP maybe phasing out this line instead of expanding it. Well, for the next twenty years (the products rated life expectancy - at three hours a day), I expect this product will out last me and until then meet or exceed my basic lighting needs.Read full review

You have to hack at them a little to get them working with Smart things... Or Vera... But once you do, they work fine and are super cheap!
