Exact replacement, good value
This recoil starter assembly is an exact fit for my mower. It is super easy to replace. In the pictures, you can see the red Troy Bilt Cover. It is held on by a couple of screws. Remove it and then remove 3 screws from the Recoil Assembly. The original assembly was making a loud scratchy sound. New one is quiet.

Don't get burned !!
