Good unit and easy for basic setup

Good but bad
These modems work very well for speed and voip conectivity. BUT I am now on the fourth modem in two years due to failures possibly linked to electrical storms in this area. I have surge protectors in a power board supplying the modem and computer and also one on the household switch board. No other electrical equipment in the house have ever been damaged since the surge protectors were fitted. Surely it must be possible to include a MOV (metal oxide varistor) in the voip circuit to arrest the induced voltage in the telephone connection. Easily configured for FTTC
The gateway was very easy to configure to work with NBN's FTTC and has worked flawlessly since it was installed. The only issue I noticed was its WIFI reach seemed weaker than the Apple TimeMachine it replaced but a cheap, extender with WPS support easily solved the issue.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Awesome product for the price
For the money it's hard to pass on - excellent features, good, stable connection, really fast at re-connection. Does struggle when there's many devices connected on Wi-Fi on 2.4Ghz band, but that 5Ghz is available then this is no biggie. Replacement VoIP Modem
Bought this as a replacement for the ISP supplied modem to get better performance for a 4K TV. Seems to work better, as now using the 5Ghz connection. The hardwired performance is a little better too. WiFi range seems to similar. Set up was straight forward. Getting the ViOP to work was a bit more fun. Netcomm does supply a document but it is out of date and not reflect the current UI. Strongly suggest to update the firmware and do a hard reset, if not already done. Over all a good experience and good value for money. Note the green activity lights are bright so think about the location.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Product was delivered next day and was easily installed. I like the upright stand position of the modem that takes up less space on a desk. To date seems to perform without any problems. I have connected all my devices, laptop, phone wifi and smart tv. I am yet to set up voip.
