I have looked at dozens of brands and models. The 'Pursonic 1500ml' has a mechanical / analogue on/off switch. It can be controlled by an external humidity sensor. ( All other models have electronic switches. Turn power off/on at the wall socket, and those units will remain OFF. ) My 'Pursonic 1500ml' sits inside a converted fridge. It has been turned off/on a dozen times per day, for over a month, by my Inkbird controllers. Water catchment bucket only needs to be emptied once per week. The unit is Brilliant ! ( it was also a lot more efficient / robust than my previous Eva Dry 500ml model. ) I open the fridge, 3 or 4 times per day, to check the curing meats. The unit is quietly doing its job.

This is probably the best eBay purchase I have made this year. Works wonders and removes an impressive amount of moisture from the air.

It’s been raining a lot so rather than overworking my dryer- this cuts down drying time if I hang my clothes . If it keeps working over winter than I’ll be extra happy
