With 2007's AMERICAN INQUISITION, Christian Death offers up its first new studio album since 2000's BORN AGAIN ANTI CHRISTIAN. Recorded by the incarnation of the goth band that features the vocalist couple of Valor and Maitri, this outing has nothing to do with the original lineup of the Los Angeles-based ensemble, which included renowned singer Rozz Williams (who committed suicide in 1998) and guitarist Rikk Agnew. While those loyal to the Williams/Agnew version of the group will likely avoid this group, those inclined towards Wagnerian metal may appreciate the act, which presents its dramatic aesthetic most effectively on the lumbering "Stop Bleeding on Me."
