Been hit or miss on products off Ebay. This was a win. I was wondering why my battery drained constantly. My fans would run after I shut off the car(2000 VW Mk4). Radiator fan blower module replacement did the trick. Fairly simple to replace. Two bolts just below the battery tray near the front end assembly. Drop the module from below and remove the two plugs using a screwdriver to wedge the plugs up(watertight fit over may years) and a pick/hook tool to get the stop above the latch point(the hole in the connector). Once done. Clean your contacts if necessary. I would use a bit of dielectric grease to keep the contacts lubricated to ease removal and to keep the contacts from rusting. Install in reverse. Done. This also controls your AC as well. Great part at a great price.
Installed & the cheap coils & diodes melted within 30 minutes. Replaced with a quality unit from a German mnftr & several days later system is still working as oem designed. This unit ptior to melting down was actually smoking, the replacement unit (as with the factory oem unit) was Ambient Tempurature after svrl hours of operation. Cheap unit, horribly cheap mtl, I absolutely do not recommend buying one of these cheap Fan Control Modules, it is a waste of money!
