We are so impressed with the Kamikoto knives. These knives are beautiful. I was a bit skeptical trying them as I love my knife set and research extensively before I add to my collection. Anything I cut with the nakiri feels like slicing through soft butter with that wonderful blade.

Good for first Japanese knife set purchase
The knife set is a good value especially as a first Japanese knife set purchase. I was slightly disappointed at the weight of the knives which was heavier than expected. It was not as sharp as say, a Masahisa knife which I purchased at Tsukiji market. The knives are single bevel primarily for right-handers.

Great knife set
Very nice definitely recommend getting off Ebay and not pay full retail price. Could be sharper but very nice knives and nice case to store away and not have on counter. Some knife sets have too many knives this set is just right at least for us.

Beautiful knives with excellent craftsmanship.
These are a beautifully made set of professional knives that, with the proper care, should last for generations. I have almost the complete set of the Kamikoto knives now, and they are all incredible knives, and super sharp too. I can't help but think that anyone who enjoys and admires well made cutlery, would absolutely love these knives. Also worthy of note is the very nice presentation box they come in. How many other knife sets come like that? I have yet to see any.

Prepping food without a Kamikoto knife is ridiculous!
I owned a set before but lost them to a house fire, not the knife just the handles. The fire was over 2800 degrees that's when glass melts. The steel used in these knives survived the fire, just a little warped from the water trying to put the fire out!!! I finally purchased a new set, and forgot how superior they are to other knives.....they are SHARP! I don't let my pets in the kitchen when using them in fear of injuring one of them if one slipped off the counter. "I'M NOT KIDDING"
