It works well for what it does. It allowed me to prove that the problen was the car, not the trailer, and that's what I bought it for. However, there are a few small issues. 1) the socket cover on the vehicle actually covers the lights somewhat, so it's hard to see them. 2) the markings for which LED has which meaning are difficult to see; light from the side makes them visible. 3) the bottom two on the right are labeled BK and BU - not exactly clear for Brake and Reverse (Back Up). Make it 1" longer, and find a way to make the labels more visible.

I tried out the 7 Way Trailer Socket tester and it seems to work well. It is easy to tell if the wiring on my truck is OK for my trailer lights. It checks the tail lights, signal lights and brake lights. Most of the time the problem with trailer lights is in the trailer wiring or lights, but this helps you rule out a problem with your vehicle plug and wiring.
