Best budget option for Dreamcast in HD on original hardware
While I have not seen the output from doing an HDMI mod on the original Dreamcast I can say for sure that the results with the Hyperkin cable are fantastic! Very clear picture, and much easier to get than an original VGA box. Some games won't be compatible, a list can be found online as to which game support VGA which the HDMI cable uses to upscale. Some games you can work around by leaving the video cable unplugged till after you hear the game boot then plugged in. Great Solution for Hooking up Dreamcast to a modern TV
Recieved as new in perfect condition, quickly shipped. Product is plug and play right out of the box, no power outlet or batteries needed. Translates DC pic to 4K TV nicely, image is sharpe, color resolution is excellent, overall smooth with minimal "jaggy lines" Only downsides are that it will only produce in 4:3 aspect ratio, and there are a few games it will not work with.
