I bought it because its harder to lift a heavy chainsaw for a long time these days. I have multiple Stihl saws, one almost the size of this one. I love them. And I would never use this one to cut large things but for its size, weight, sound, and ease of use, I am gonna be using it alot. Its quiet actually. Trimming brush, small saplings, overhanging branches...its perfect. I can one hand it real easy. The battery snaps in from any of the other B&D and Craftsman Bolt-on stuff I had before. Holds charge for as long as I've ever needed it (so far). One small issue I have is that it is SO light that it tends to jump up off the surface you are cutting. You actually have to push it down to get it to bite deeply, something you gets used to not having to do with a heavy gas chainsaw. And the biting teeth in front where the bar goes into the unit are cosmetic, and not very effective. You are NOT going to plunge cut with this saw anyway.Read full review

We needed something to cut fallen tree limbs to use as firewood. This chainsaw does an excellent job cutting anything 12" diameter or less. Lightweight and so easy to use, it works great for this older lady. We used it almost daily for a couple of weeks before the chain needed sharpening and replacement chains are easy to find and affordable online. The 20V battery is interchangeable with those for my Black and Decker cordless weed eater and cordless drill so I have 4 batteries to use between the group of tools. Look forward to purchasing the B & D cordless skil saw and adding it to my collection. Highly recommend this tool.

For the price of under $100 for a rebuilt battery powered chain this unit is just what I needed. Only needed a saw for small branches 2-3" this unit work great.

I appreciate the light weight of this saw, and am impressed so far with how it handles. Battery has lasted longer than I thought it would.

This is not a powerful chainsaw but it works just fine for small limbs and green wood. Now I have a drill, trimmer and chain saw all with the same batteries and charger!

This chainsaw is a great value. The saw comes with a 10" bar & 1/4" drive chain. The battery lasts for at least limbing a small tree, 30-40 cuts of 3" limbs. And more. The saw is quieter than a gas saw, but still has some chain/ drive noise. The bar & chain oiler cap will leak if the saw is on its side. Overall, a great saw for occasional brush & yard clearing. Very light to carry for trail clearing, just bring another battery!

I thought I had ordered a bare used chainsaw. What I got was brand new and included the battery, charger, and original paperwork. The chain and bar have never been unpacked from the factory packaging, and the oil reservoir had never been used. It was a major bargain. Awesome!

It's good for small jobs like cutting branches off trees. But if you have a woodstove and do a lot of cutting for firewood, a gas powered chainsaw is better.

I have the 18v NiCad version. It has worked well for me,trimming the many trees in my yard from a cherry-picker bucket. It has electrical reliability without the tangle of cords, but my stock of batteries is limited and getting old. Updating with LI batteries gives me an up-grade to a better unit, assuming it is as durable as the old one. So far it has worked well for a small saw.

Light weight easy to use, but don't expect to be sawing firewood with it. Don't get me wrong it works really well on tree branches and brush. That's why I wrote this review....
