NotesEU-only two CD collection. From fine players on the electric organ we have heard sweet sentimentality, hip Hillbilly, jumping Jazz and Rock 'n' Roll. However, let's just say it and get it out of our system: Eddie Layton was a magician. Just listen to him knock out classics such as, "Tico, Tico", "The Happy Organ" and we are sure that you cannot fail to notice and agree that he was a true maestro. Without a doubt, Eddie Layton was a Hammond organ virtuoso and for many it was his work at baseball's landmark, Yankee Stadium - "The House That Ruth Built" - where he was official organist for nearly four decades and was much loved by visitors. This collection of four albums is a swinging, syncopated and sophisticated affair that insidiously insists your toes are set to tapping and your spinal cord is set to wiggling. - the electric organ didn't know it had so much promise until Eddie Layton came along and showed it!
