    An oldie and a goodtime movie musical

    I bought this DVD to replace a VHS tape for my father. He was very pleased to be able to watch this classic again. It is high quality and easy to play. Nothing like sitting down on the weekend to watch a great musical.

    An oldy but a goody!

    This lovely old movie shows how classically trained singers (Jane Powell and Howard Keel) kept themselves in employment in the golden days of the musical, and the dancers are awe inspiring. I saw it in our local theatre in my childhood, and thought it so romantic. In my 70s now, I can enjoy it now for different reasons. Not for today’s generations I would think...
