Bought a previously owned, late 2012 iMac in late 2017. That's 5 years since the initial launch. Apple makes great products although pricey, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. This iMac supplements my aging 2010 MacBook Pro 17", which still works like a charm, it has never required any repairs since I bought it and I wouldn't hesitate buying a similar one. Apple no longer includes the CD/DVD player or writer/ burner starting with the 2012 iMacs. I wasn't particularly looking for this feature when making my purchase since majority of the new applications do not require me to insert a CD. This computer does whatever you throw at it without whining. I found it easier to set up and use compared to a PC. I'm a happy camper! All in one with full suite of apps
This Imac is really a sweet all in one computer with a full suite of applications standard. Very fast with good video. These have built in camera and bluetooth as well as wifi. Easy setup, recognized my printers and installed without outside disks. The reason I got this computer with a broken screen is because I got other computer not working.. but my surprise is that even when is cracked I’m able to use it with no problems the crack in on the edges it doesn’t affect its performance and the computer is fast.

Poor case engineering

Even Damages Units Deserve Love
I just bought a late 2012 iMac 21.5” for my new desk I got for Christmas. I love it. I intentionally purchased a damaged unit with a hairline crack in the LCD panel because even damaged units deserve love and to be recycled somehow. End the "Windows" insanity!
A Mac isn't for everyone. They are different. But not in a bad way. Just different. And pretty much most everything about them are different. If you have never owned or used a Mac, it will take you sometime to get used to it. It's sort of like going to Canada if you live in the US. Not bad in anyway, just different than what you are accustomed to. But a Mac is refreshingly logical. They have none of the ridiculous nonsense problems that plague the PC-Windows machines. They rarely ever are affected with viruses or malware and things JUST SEEM TO WORK. No silly printer issues, no constant updates, no having to re-start your system every other day.
