CPR V10000 Call Blocker
Won't take the number sometimes when you press the block button.Using the *2 on the phone to block a number hasn't worked yet. Don't know if it's working properly or if spam and robo callers are changing numbers. Will have to see as time goes on if calls are reduced.. So far the calls are about the same. Wish it would display caller as well as number, have to go to my wall phone to see the caller ID. So far the caller ID and answering machine has done the job well as it has for years and I'm not seeing an improvement in call reduction.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Works great for me
I had an early version of the CPR call blocker, it was no longer effective as the scammers and spammers rotate numbers on every call. The V10000 has extra features, plus it allows for blocking complete area codes which is great for me. I blocked several toll free area codes on my device, my result was the annoying phone ringing 15 to 20 times hardly ever rings. The bad guys are still calling but thanks to the call blocker it doesn't ring through to the phone, I don't even know they've called. I bought my unit used at a reduced cost which always carries some risk but it works great. I notice some people have problems with the instructions. It works IF you can overcome the lousy instructions
The installation instructions are ok, but the operating instructions are unorganized, incomplete, incoherent, and, in some cases, simply wrong. I would say that a 6th-grader could write a better set of instructions but that would be an insult to 6th-graders. BLOCK BUTTON STICKS
The unit has done well up to having blocked 55 numbers at which time the "block" button has begun to stick. Really do not want to return it and have to start all over again blocking numbers, but I am very unhappy with the sticking issue. Great phone call blocker

NOT PERFECT
The second and third questions don't apply to this device, as it has no handset and doesn't produce sound. My installation unfortunately coincided with the Coronavirus onset so it's getting fewer calls to block - it has let a few slip through even though I've set it to block those calls. Be patient while you search for answers from manufacturer
