One of the best toys ever!
I have seven rescued cats here at home, ranging in age from 6 to 12 years old. Trying to get some of the older ones to play and get some exercise is a challenge! When I opened this up and placed it on the floor, it had everyone's attention right away. The catnip is a good way to entice them to use the scratcher in the middle...then they notice that the ball moves. All of my cats took turns, playing and batting the ball about. I will note that the toy is much easier for them to use on a non-skid surface, like short carpet, otherwise it gets smacked all around the room! It is holding up very well considering the abuse it gets on a daily basis and it's so popular here, that I have had to order a second one! It's a wonderful and entertaining product that has even my oldest cat scratching and playing again! I am very pleased with it and so are my cats.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great toy for owner but kitty didn't care at all. (My knee is killing me)
Cat looked at it and gave it one touch of the ball and when it didn't even move (because the ball is heavy and too tight in the grooved circle) she walked away.....forever. Great toy for people without cats who want to kneel on the floor and spin a ball around. A poor execution of the idea and the engineering failed the concept. My cat yawned at it
Based on the positive reviews, I expected my cat to like this. Unfortunately, he likes more interactive toys and has ignored this toy. I sprinkled the catnip on the corrugated cardboard, so he sometimes sits on it; otherwise no interest. Too bad.
