Good addition with small flaws
First the good. These little buggers do what they're advertised to do. They slip on easily, and do a good job at insulating you from the handle. They're easy to clean and provide a solid grip. The bad. They do slip on easily, but this means they're loose. That's not a bad thing in general, but trying to do more than just move the pan to and from the stove top means you can't tilt it very well because it just isn't tight enough to really be effective. Your hand won't slip, but the handle itself will rotate inside the handle, no matter how hard you squeeze. The design could be improved by some kind of friction pattern on the inside. That being said, as long a you aren't going to need to tilt the pan, these are superior to regular pot holdersVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

cheap handle cover for Lodge brand iron pans.
This handle cover is not without flaws. I don't think any of the flaws should be a deal killer but you should know about them. 1. if you keep the cover on the handle during cooking, it may get burned or catch on fire due to exposure to high heat escaping around the edge of the skillet from the flame or stove top. 2. it's easy to slide on (depends a lot on the size of your handle) which means it will slide off easily too, which means you could easily drop the pan if you rely solely on this handle cover. 3. If it could catch on fire or slip off easily, why not just use cheap old hot pads (that you probably already own) instead? 4. When I ordered this handle cover I never gave any thought to any of these complaints, so part of the reason I own one is my own fault. 5. The cover is large, so it will fit a variety of shapes and sizes of handles. I put mine on a Lodge 10 inch fry pan with ribs for cooking meats and it's much bigger than that handle. 6. If you hang your pans by the handle, this cover would have to be removed since it covers the handle.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This is great for a pot handle that gets hot. And this is also great for an uncomfortable steel handle when you lift it and when you hold the handle while you scrub the pot. Effectively provides protection
It effectively provides protection from the hot handle of a cast iron skillet. Similar competing products do not provide adequate protection. Good product at a great price
The Lodge Handle Holder provides great insulation and eliminates the need to use a bulky oven mitt. Works but a poor fit

loved the purpose for it

great heat protection, but with issues

Too big for the handle.
