AMAZING - AWESOME - GET A SERIES 9 IT'S THE BEST !
I used a Braun Series 7 for years before upgrading to this Series 9 - 9390cc - This gives me the closest, most comfortable shave I've ever had in my life as simple as that ! ...Don't believe the review that says it's difficult to clean manually either...Actually the Cassette Head is a much shallower profile than the Series 7 so it's easy to rinse out under a powerful jet of tapwater (even cold water !)...You don't need the cleaning station model (Suffix cc) if you prefer to clean manually as there is a Series 9 model without this accessory...GET ONE !..it's light years ahead of anything I've ever used before...Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Not as close shave as series 7... but still alright
Had the series 7 for 10 years and finally thought I should upgrade! The product itself looks good an expensive. HOWEVER.. even though it removes hair faster than series 7, it doesn’t unfortunately give me that close shade I had with 7. It seems I will still have to use my series 7 to do the minor parts towards the end of a shave... disappointing really! Otherwise apart from that its good!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works well on sensitive skin
First try of a foil shaver. I have used rotary style electric shavers, multi blade and most recently traditional single blade wet shaving because I have very sensitive skin. I was recommended to get an electric shaver again because I am undergoing a course of radiotherapy to my neck. The Braun does a good job on my chin, under nose and face. I find it doesn’t cut the longer neck hairs unless I go over the area repeatedly. The unit is quite a bit lighter than my previous electric shaver, but that is not a negative. I also find I have a habit of operating the head locking switch inadvertently as it’s placed just where I hold the shaver. The side trimmer is quite small and looks flimsy but it seems to function ok. The self cleaning function may be a bit of a gimmick that I will not use in the longer term. Overall it’s probably as good as you can expect from an electric shaver, not as close as wet shaving but perhaps less skin irritation.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Simply the best
I’ve had several electric razors over the years and each time I get a new one think it’s great - probably just the new foil effect. This series 9 though is in a different class. No reaction caused despite sensitive skin and a really smooth finish. Braun electric shaver, a tool of choice
Well thought out shaving engineering. The automatic cleaning pod is good but gave me a Scare when I first switched it on. Good shave and the flexible head moves nicely around you facial contours. Best shaver ever
I switched to the Braun after being a long-term (decades!) user of Philips rotary shavers. Having now been using the Braun for two weeks, I wish I had made the change earlier. Its shave really approaches that of a wet shave with a razor. I have 'difficult' sections of my face where hairs grow at a shallow angle to my skin. The Braun removes them with ease. My very early experience with single foil shavers was poor, because they could never deal with these low-angle hairs. But the Braun has a couple of special slots (in addition to its two foils) designed specifically to cope with such problem hairs. I'm stunned how well they work. German engineering at its finest. Ergonomics are perfect, and the razor is very comfortable to use, except for the clumsy pop-up trimmer, which is awkwardly placed. But I consider that a non-essential addition to what is a superb shaver. Consider me a convert to Braun.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good but overpriced
Good Quality but bit too expensive. Sometimes it pulls hair and it does not shave after first pass you have to oscillate in one place 3-4 times. But ease of use and docking station are brilliant. If it would cost 40 quid less definitly i owuld recommend.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

What difference !.
I have always used a Philishave rotating heads shavers but the quality has gone down over the years ,so I made the decision to change to a foil shaver after 60 years. What a difference !
