Update your WiFi Router
This unit gives high speed and around 12metre range on 5Ghz. I placed it 6 feet off the ground. I am using a 100Mbps plan. I get full speed on my smart tv which results in more reliable streaming so I can watch without buffering. In my case a LAN cable was not needed. Modem does what I expected it to do
Had a few problems when I first hooked it up - kept dropping out (often) randomly. For a day and a half I seriously thought about sending it back. Wasn't the modems fault. With a series of eliminations, had to reset my chromecast devices and reinstall them Been up for 7 days now without any problems. Very easy to connect. Great NBN modem with 4G backup if you are a Telstra customer
After resetting the device back to factory default and connecting to my NBN connection (FTTN) it took about 25-30 minutes of activity and auto restarts for all connection details to download and the 4G to enable, which in my setup achieved about 11Mbps download.
