During the mid-13th century, Batu Khan's ruthless horde of Mongols are slowly taking over Russia, burning down cities and flooding Russian soil with blood. Only one Ryazan swordsman, Evoaty Kolovrat, has the courage to stand in their way. With help of a few brave souls, Kolovrat leads the charge against the Mongols to avenge his people and his homeland.     "Furious ~ The Legend of Evpaty Kolovrat"

    "Furious" follows traditional accounts of the exploits of a hero [character name automatically censored by eBay site filter] from the times of Medieval Russians' conflict with advancing Mongol forces. While I appreciated the historical angles and background, which are somewhat uncommon for a studio feature film, this story of courage, valor, and sacrifice will appeal to a broader spectrum of viewers. This film is impressive as one of several whereby Russian studios are getting on board with state of the art quality film production, with the action, stunts, and cinematography on a level comparable to the "300" series.
