A very good effort from one of one of the world's greatest (in my humble opinion) directors.
The DVD is a good transfer. This is one of director Fritz Lang's (of Metropolis and "M" fame). The direction is a bit subdued as compared to his earlier ground=breaking work. The and other small details make the direction style seem a bit dated. This is not to say that there are not some first rate direction going on however.

A Western Film Noir starring Dietrich!
I am a big Dietrich fan and feel she was a very restrained German actress to remember. I do anyway, hence the DVD of Rancho Notorious. What a cool little film of film Noir by a favorite Director, Fritz Lang. Checkout the shinny Western kitch pistols that these actors use in Notorious. Interesting and some carry two! Dietrich received several awards in her life for ignoring Nazis from her homeland and siding with the Americans etc. She was a heroin in France in those 1950s days. She also co starred with Monty Clift in Judgement At Nurenburg. As well as several more American films like her great performance in Touch Of Evil with Orsen Welles. (Not a wimpy gal). films. All on ebay.
