Excellent album
Born Again brings up BLACK SABBATH's darkest, thickest and one of most evil-sounding albums. This album has a murky dense bass-heavy production adding to the gloomy atmosphere. It has many great tunes.Trashed is an excellent up-tempo ballsy opener in vein of Neon Knights and Turn Up The Night with thick riffs and fast solos; while bass guitar and drums contribute to the thunderous rhythm sections. Maniacal screams, shrieks, howling and wailing like a demonic banshee are part of excellent vocal performances throughout the album. Disturbing The Priest is a pummeling, pounding and totally pulverizing beast of a song. It has that doom-y evil feeling atmosphere and the vocals really shine. Ian's maniacal laughs, screams and shrieks are an absolute treat. The Dark is a short and suspenseful instrumental of impending doom fueled by bass effects. Zero The Hero is an epic doom metal milestone that represents everything BLACK SABBATH has ever stood for with riffs as nails, straight up, extended solos punctuated by more treated bass effects as gloriously a demented vocals sing. The title-track conjures dark vibes. Mournful guitar tones combined with soulful vocals make this one a highlight. The solo section is true Sabbath. Drums create a groove that is loose, percussive and organic. It helps make the clean tone haunting and ghostly. Hot Line is a rock and roll soundtrack to a good time, classic Tony riffs complete with shredding solos. Keep It Warm reveals a slow moving love ballad with unhinged and solid riffs and great blues-y hard rock-ish chorus. This is an excellent album.
