    THE best recording - EVER !

    I I was a groupie and actor during the tour of the world's BEST LIVE rendition of JCS stage shows as my GF was a leading performer with the voice of an angel. - The Australian production. So, I really looked forward to London's famed West End and its theatres: The West End JCS was APPALLING. 150% disappointingly APPALLING ..SOooo unprofessional and flat. Recently, I bought a copy of "Official London Cast" Cd.....CRINGELY bad - SOOOooo overdone I burst out llaughing on first listening ...HOW COULD a producer accept some of the vocal antics ? The Australian later non-stage show recording was better (with local artists) BUT...The original conception JCS Lloyd Webber-Rice recording ? Brilliant BRILLIANT ...to this day, FIFTY FOUR years on....Each voice...magical and 100% suited and nuanced to the historical figure. Aged 74 yr, I STILL play my Gretsch-Zildjian drums to this original recording. **HINT: my CD is DIGITALLY REMASTERED - but this one !!.

    This is the version to buy.

    No substitutes,- the original cast studio recording is the way to get into JCS. Ian Gillian from Deep Purple is the man !. Yvonne Elliman is gorgeous. The songs are great, and its not a bad yarn, either No spoiler alerts as to how the story ends.
