    powerful drama

    A film that has 2 great dominant actors of that time sparking off each other in every scene they share. Brilliant film that I watched as a youngster - and it is still a great film and it's always interesting as a lot of these older films are for comparing how infrastructure and places used to look many years ago

    Excellent, and original, gangster movie with a very good performances from Lee Marvin, Sissy Spacek and Gene Hackman. There is also a nod to Hitchcock's North by Northwest with the combine harvester scene. The is first time I have seen the movie since it's original Cinema release in the UK, and it was as good as I remembered. It is a region 1 format film so you will need a region free DVD player to view it in Britain.
